A middle-aged man entered a Korean sauna in suburban Atlanta and fatally shot his two sisters as well as their husbands before turning the gun on himself, according to news reports.

Police in Norcross, Ga., a suburb northeast of Atlanta, said a middle-aged man opened fire in the sauna after getting into an argument with someone.

The couples co-owned the spa, according to local TV news channel 11 Alive News.

Neither their identities nor the gunman’s have been released, but court documents identify the spa’s primary owner as Kang Byong Ok, the shooter’s brother-in-law. All four victims and the suspect ranged in age from their early 50s to their mid-60s. Norcross police said a domestic dispute may have prompted the shooting. The suspect was reportedly at the business earlier in the day and was asked to leave by one of his sisters.

The pastor of Ok’s church told 11Alive News money problems may have also played a role in the rampage.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the shootings took place around 8:30 p.m. at the Su Jung Health Sauna with about 20 people present inside the business.

A .45-caliber handgun was recovered at the spa, police said. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene while one was pronounced dead at a hospital.

@#4, just because I don’t use the hackneyed “oh my gosh! oh my gosh!” (in a Konglish accent) expression, doesn’t mean that I’m a non-Korean English instructor. But thank you for commending my superb English; I know yours sucks. That’s why you write so “textonic” aka the ebonics over the Internet e.g. you = troll.

As soon as I read about this yesterday, I knew it had something to do with money.

    Family + Business + Money = Massacre

This was a fine family and I’m not sure that violence is the Korean way at all. This spa was one of the most serene places I’ve ever been. The shooter(brother)was a loose cannon however in every sense of the word. I never liked him or trusted him at all.

Sad. Korean people, please stop using violence to solve problems. Please stop thinking that killing another will get the point across.
