Okay, just so we can get it over with: Hyori’s newest video just released, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” is suspiciously Gagalicious–but that’s okay! One instance is in the beginning of the video where the chanteuse’s mini-Gaga minions–clad in dark shades and apparel along with long blonde wigs–defend their leader by well, dancing. And the other is toward the middle with her large “Telephone”-inspired semi-trucks/American flag-inspired track suit.
But who cares if there are two egregious inspirations from another singer? The video is original and tantalizingly epic by its own merits. With Hyori as an alien queen who flew far from the galaxy to bring sexiness to Earth, we humans are graced by her hip thrusts and booty bumps. And with so many costume/hair changes, explosions, guns, two hot shades–studded spikes and chain wrapped, respectively–and great dance sequences this is by far Hyori Lee’s best video yet!
