If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
Sushi. All day. Every day.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ideally, I’ll be married, and have a career that I love!
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Definitely a night owl…but I can’t pull all-nighters. I just really hate having to wake up early.
What quality do you appreciate most in a friend?
I appreciate people who are secure with themselves. People who aren’t so focused on what others think about them are less likely to let petty things or other people get in the way of our friendship.
What is one characteristic you received from your parents what you want to keep and one you wish you could change?
Keep: My eyes! Thanks to my dad, I have relatively big eyes + double eyelids, which I know is rare among most Koreans.
Change: I can be pretty stubborn…I get this from my dad, too.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would it be and why?
I have always wanted to travel all over Italy. I’m not entirely sure why, but Italy has always been a place that captured my attention. Everything is so appealing to me: the culture, history, and the FOOD!
What food do you absolutely HATE?
I’m not a picky eater, but I really hate black olives.
If you had to choose to be blind or deaf, which one would you pick?
Deaf because sight is so valuable. There are so many beautiful things to see and witness in the world…I don’t think I could give that up.
What’s your favorite season and why?
I absolutely love winter and everything that it entails… cold weather, being able to dress in warm clothes and drink hot tea, sleeping with my heated blanket, pretty Christmas lights/decorations, and the seasonal red Starbucks cups!
What are three things you can’t live without?
My cellphone, camera, and green tea!
When people look at me, they would never guess that I…
can speak Spanish fluently.
If you could have any super powers, what would it be?
Teleportation. I can’t stand being stuck in traffic. There are so many times when I wish I could just teleport myself back home or wherever I need to be!
I am KoreAm and proud because … I love living in a community with such a unique culture and where delicious Korean food is easily accessible!
