What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?

Spending time with people I care about- be it my friends or family and building those relationships.

What food do you absolutely hate?

Oh, cheese-heads out there forgive me, but really stinky, pungent, moldy cheeses kind of scare me.

What is your greatest regret?

Not giving my brother a big bear hug the last time I saw him.

What would be your ideal vacation?

Somewhere out in nature, semi-untainted by industrialization, with boundless horizon, and good food!

If you could go on a date with any Korean celebrity, who would it be?

Maybe Daniel Henney cause he speaks English, or Tiger JK, but he’s married, and a dad!

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I’ve got to admit, I’m kind of an early bird.

What quality do you appreciate most in a friend?

Honesty. Sincerity.

Tell us about the last time you had to ask for help.

I was at the post-office today trying to mail a letter and was short 20 cents…I didn’t ask for help verbally but I guess my face expressed it, so the man working there was kind enough to donate me two dimes.

What is one characteristic you received from your parents that you like, and one you wish you could change?

Both my parents have a strong will, so I’d like to keep that from them. There is nothing in particular I’d like to change, though.

Tell us something that you are proud of.

I’m proud to be Korean American.

If you knew you couldn’t fail and money was no object, what would you like to do in the next five years?

Travel the world, go to grad school, then culinary school and then get my pilot’s license.

What does your typical day consist of?

I try not to have a typical day. Well, at least not right now. My morning routine does consist of checking my email.

If someone made a movie of your life, what genre would it be?

It’d be a tragicomedy, in Italian neo-realist style. Bill Murray would make a cameo appearance.

Name one of your favorite things about someone in your family.

My mom’s cooking. Everything she makes is bomb.

Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours.

Biologically, I have a hard time burping. I make a digestive noise that sounds like a hiccup that seems to be out of my control.

If you had to evacuate your house immediately, what is the one thing you would grab on the way out?

My car keys.

Are you the type of person with lots of friends or just a few close ones?

Ha, this question. I have lots of few close friends.

Describe an activity that you think is truly romantic.

Writing “old-school” handwritten letters, camping and star-gazing, sharing a good laugh, making a good mix-tape.

What words do you live by?

Don’t live by words. Words are fickle. Just kidding.

I am KoreAm and proud because… I perceive perspectives both East and West.
