How did you end up doing what you do? I love fashion and like to buy new clothes often. But when I got married 4 yrs. ago, I realized it’s not my money to spend anymore but ours instead. So to make my husband happy and not feel as guilty for enjoying fashion, I started using my old, outdated clothes in my closet and transforming them and started adding it to my family blog, www.jaynsarah.blogspot.com. I started posting them weekly almost a year ago and my blog quickly grew from 100′s of pageviews a day to highs of 12,000 pageviews a day. I also have an online store S.T Collection where I mainly sell fancy headbands(I’m wearing one in my picture).
Describe your current city: Majority of the people here are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with high morals and values. People are very kind and respectful, and honest here. If you lose a valuable like an ipad, wallet, or a camera somewhere, you will very likely get it back untouched.
Are you a collector of anything? My husband and I started collecting State quarters a few months ago. I know, we are so wild, right? I also hardly throw any clothes away and own clothes from all the way back from intermediate school, so I guess I cay say I also collect clothes?
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? I’d love to live in London for a few years and then move to California. Gotta love the beach, nice weather, and good Korean food!
What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night? Going out to dinner with my husband and our two daughters, go bowling or something our kids love, then after the kids are asleep, cuddle with my husband and watch a movie at home.
Who is your hero? My parents and my husband. They are great people and support me 100%.
Who is the most important person in your life? Ahh, I only get to to pick one? Then my husband. He is my #1.
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Becoming a mother. It’s made me more selfless than anything else that’s happened in my life.
If your house was on fire and you could grab only 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Things so it can’t be people right? Then it’d be my journals, a blanket my youngest daughter cannot sleep without, and my wallet.
What is your earliest memory? Swimming with my mom and having her hold me real tight and not letting go of me in fear of having me drown. (Her whole family almost drowned when they were boating). I remember feeling very loved and protected.
What is one thing that you would most like to be remembered for after your death? That I was kind and respectful to everyone. That I didn’t value worldly things but valued things that mattered the most like family and serving others.
What are your aspirations? To launch my own clothing line, buy my parents their dream home, start a non-profit charitable organization and set up elementary schools in third world countries that provide free education, healthy lunch, dental and medical care.
What’s something few people know about you? I dislike being in the spotlight but I keep doing what I’m doing to get my name known so it’s like free marketing for my current online store and when I launch my clothing line.
What words do you live by? My integrity is worth more to me than cheating, any amount of money, or being dishonest.
What are your quirks? I prefer to smell the coffee beans over perfume at department stores, I secretly wished, really bad, to play Cho Chang in Harry Potter, I’m usually the only mother who runs around and plays with my kids in the playground, I’m really really gullible, I hardly ever get dirty jokes, I need kimchi with every Korean meal or it just doesn’t taste right.
What’s your favorite Korean food? Kimchi and stone bowl bibimbap! I’m drooling right now!
Are you an early bird or a night owl? Definitely a night owl. It takes me like an hr. to fully wake up in the morning.
What’s your greatest fear? Anything that crawls(YUCK), getting chased(I freak out when playing tag with little kids), losing my husband and my two girls or regret mistreating a loved one when it’s too late.
I Am KoreAm and proud because… I love the qualities in Korean people. They are quick to compliment others and care deeply about other people. Not to mention Korean food is the best food ever!
