Describe your background.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, going to rodeos, eating Tex-Mex, and saying y’all.
If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
What is one goal you would like to accomplish during your lifetime?
I hope to one day overhear my kids as adults talking on the phone with their buddies saying, “My parents always played with me and I had so much fun growing up.”
Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours.
I cannot stare at tree trunks for a long time because they look like stretch marks and creep me out.
If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be?
Carefree, happy, friendly.
Name one of your favorite things about someone in your family.
My hubby’s low-brow humor that makes me crack up daily.
What is the kindest thing that someone has ever done for you?
My hubby did almost all of the night feedings with our firstborn even when he was tired from working his shift in the ER.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would it be and why?
Canada, because I hear it’s beautiful, food is awesome, and everyone loves the Canadians.
What is your favorite book?
The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller.
What do you think the greatest invention in your lifetime is and why?
The iPhone. It singlehandedly jump-started my writing career.

Never stop dreaming, be yourself, and always be loving.
Tell us about the hardest thing you’ve ever done.
Going through pharmacy school and working part-time while having two babies and starting a writing career. Finally finishing up school this May 2013!

Former J. Crew & Banana Republic addict transformed by Madewell with a hint of Urban Outfitters and Top Shop.
