My name is Claire Byun, and I am currently a sophomore at UCLA, working towards getting into the Communication Studies major. I was wondering if there are any internships open for this coming summer, particularly in print design or social media/marketing. I have experience in publication as an Assistant Design Director for the Daily Bruin and as a designer for its quarterly magazine, Prime, but I would like to expand my knowledge into social media/marketing. I do not have any experience in marketing, but I am online savvy and familiar with social networking sites. If there are any opportunities to do so, I would love to intern for KoreAM and broaden my experiences here. I love the overall mission of KoreAM, and it would be amazing if I can be apart of this team.

Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon.

  • Jasmine Shin

Hi, my name is Jasmine Shin and I am currently a junior in high school. I don’t have experience as a writer or anything but I am really interested in being part of the KoreAm staff. I would like to volunteer or be an intern or anything. Korean music is my “obsession” and I know a lot about korean-american singers and actors if that would help. I’m just interested in trying out the journalism field. Thank you for at least considering.

Hello, I love your magazine, and am wondering if KoreaAm offers internships, or would at least consider the idea. I am particularly interested in Marketing, having a B.S. in Marketing and currently a graduate student studying International Business. I have worked in a marketing internship before, helping with event planning, social media, webpage management, graphic design, e-mail marketing, etc. I have a personal interest (being Korean-American) in Korean-American culture, and would love to work with your team to help spread awareness of your publication through various marketing efforts. Please let me know if you have such an internship available, or would consider developing one!
