[Blogger's note: This video, if you couldn't tell from the title, includes swearing]

We all wish we had a sonsaengnim like this guy.

Via Buzzfeed, this Korean English instructor provides a much-needed lesson in how to interpret English swear words. Not to use them of course, but to understand when swears are directed toward you and to not respond with “0kay, thank you” when someone yells “Hey, f— you!”

Check out the instructors’ advice on how to interpret Western slang — such the use of “sick” — and his warning that this particular lesson isn’t meant for children or pregnant women. Yes, that’s what he says.

Finally someone is recognizing how arduous it must be to understand the limitless English-language slang lexicon. If he puts out an instructional video for English language learners on navigating the frightening waters of Urban Dictionary, I will have my credit card ready. Rosetta Stone’s for suckas!

    Lesson 2:

“relax is a faggot” This can mean one or two things. Either he’s a loser, or, he’s a homosexual who sucks dick and takes it up the ass.

“relax is a bitch” This means “relax” is a wussy ass guy who talks smack all over the internet because he’d get his teeth knocked out if he went toe-to-toe; or, “relax” is girl with her tampon stuck so far up her nasty crotch that she’s having a bad day

final phrase: fuck you biaatch!!! Adios muthafucka, I can sink to your level too.

it was a funny video. the fact that you think that this clip “exacerbates the image of Koreans” insinuates that your racist ass has a hardon for Koreans.

Most non-Korean Asians and some white and black people in this country already have some negative perceptions of Koreans. ABC Chinese and Nisei and on JAs see Koreans as crass, abrupt, alcoholic, loud-talking, blindly arrogant, clannish, wannabe black aka “kigga,” bad-tempered, and other negative stereotypes. This silly “I’m tryna be cool so that I’m not outta the loop” cuss word tutorial exacerbates the image of Koreans.
