A translator working at a Queens, N.Y., election voting station was discovered to be directing Korean American voters whom to vote for in the presidential election, according to news reports.

Translator Sang Soo Park was seen by official observer Daniel Baek, an attorney, telling at least three voters to vote Democratic, according to the Queens Chronicle.

“He basically stated something to the effect of, ‘You are Korean and therefore you want to vote for Obama, and you know what? Go down the list for all Democrats,’” Baek told the newspaper.

The translator’s actions were not criminal, but a major ethical violation and he was subsequently kicked out of the voting station.

“This was not only a violation of Election Law, but it’s a violation of Board of Elections policy and the interpreter’s commitment and oath to be neutral,” Baek said, according to the Queens Chronicle.
