The SFIAAFF is the nation’s largest and one of the most respected showcases for new Asian American and Asian films, annually presenting approximately 120 works in San Francisco, Berkeley and San Jose. Since 1982, the SFIAAFF has been an important launching point for Asian American independent filmmakers as well as a vital source for new Asian cinema.
This year, events include a DIY music video contest and “Directions in Sound,” a genre-bending showcase featuring the best future-forward sounds that are blowing up around the globe. For details and a full schedule of the festival, visit festival.asianamericanmedia.org/2010/.
