A fashion design student from Daegu was crowned Miss Korea 2013 on Tuesday at the Sejong Center in Seoul.
Yoo Ye-bin beat 54 other participants to take home the coveted title. The new Miss Korea, who reportedly enjoys doing yoga and listening to music as well as cooking, will represent Korea at the Miss Universe pageant in 2014.
Standing at 5-foot-6 and weighing 114 pounds, the student attending Gyeongsang National University hopes to become a wedding planner.
The Miss Korea pageant also allows participation from Koreans living overseas. This year, Miss Korea Brazil Catharina Choi Nunes (Korean name: Choi Song-ee) was named third runner-up, while Korean American Hannah Hwang received the special Miss Talent award.
