N. Korean torpedo likely sunk S. Korean ship

A U.S. military official has said that a North Korean torpedo attack likely caused the South Korean warship to go down last month. South Korean military officials support this conclusion.

North Korea has denied responsibility.

Forty of the 104 crew members have been confirmed dead, and six more are also believed dead, though they are still listed as missing.

    what sources is this news coming from? i thought the latest reports indicated the sinking resulted from a non-contact explosion, and that theories of torpedo attack (either direct or indirect) were based on speculation.

    at least name your “U.S. military official” before publishing a four-sentence piece on a politically complicated situation.
