Hotel Cafe was alive and packed for Bobby Choy, aka Big Phony’s ‘Kicking Punching Bags’ sold out album release show last Thursday. The set was complete with songs from the album including Short Intermission, and Talk of the Town. The beat is on. Chicago-based Actually, Records presents its first label showcase on the West Coast, “A Minotaur Mini-Tour,” featuring Asian American indie bands/artists Kite Operations, XYZR_KX, The Gold Medalists and Jack Tung.
