A South Korean couple was arrested on Saturday for starving their 3-month-old daughter, after spending more time on a video game than her. The couple fed their daughter only once a day, while they spent the rest of the time at a local internet cafe playing an online fantasy game called Prius Online.
Authorities have said that the unidentified 41-year-old father and 25-year-old mother, were both jobless, and spent so much of their time on their “virtual child” in order to escape reality.
I’ve read reports before about people who’ve starved to death themselves, after playing video games for multiple days straight, and it’s just a shame that it wasn’t the case here too. An innocent baby is now dead, because of the incredibly selfish actions of two individuals who were supposed to be her parents.
