It’s cold and rainy in Los Angeles today. I kinda like it. What are your favorite Korean dishes to warm you up? Soon dubu? Yukgaejang? Juk? Feel free to share your go-to recipes.

You know, if we were in Korea, we could get nice and toasty at a sauna that heats your body and your food. At Chamsutgama, you sit and bake in a charcoal-heated hut and then once you’ve worked up a appetite, you can enjoy a plate of meat cooked on the charcoal grill. Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods visited the restaurant earlier this year. Here’s a cool rundown of his South Korea trip.

It poured rain yesterday, so it seemed like a good day to make my ultimate comfort food, ddeok mandu. It always hits the spot. My husband’s favorite is ddeokboki. My favorite ddeokboki is from Maangchi – http://www.maangchi.com/recipe/ddukbokkie. She has great videos.
